The result was the ProtectPro network protection methodology and plan, and its implementation as the ProtectPro for Networks software, Workbook, and Guide package — a set of practical, easy-to-use planning tools to protect computers and their critical data.
 

 
 

Mr. Storkman has led a variety of successful accounting system software conversions.  During PG&E's conversion to SAP, he implemented the standardization and internal control elements of new company-wide forms provided to 20,000 employees both in book form and as electronic templates distributed over the network.  At Phoenix Leasing he created a series of accounting policies and procedures manuals that were in use for more than fifteen years.
 

 

 

 

 
 


Mr. Storkman is an active member of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and served as chair of the Technology Section for the CalCPA San Francisco Chapter for five years.  In recognition of his CalCPA work, he received the organizations "Good Quill" Award. His seminal article, "Before Disaster Strikes: Twelve Steps to Minimize Computer Losses," has appeared in CalCPA and AICPA publications.  Mr. Storkman has also presented his seminars, "Backup Strategies" and "How to Create and Implement a Protection Plan," for many organizations, including CalCPA and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.

 Mr. Storkman received his BA in economics from Occidental College and an MBA in taxation from Golden Gate University.  Currently he is president of ProtectPro Solutions and provides network security and business continuity planning consulting services to selected clients associated with the implementation of the ProtectPro for Networks system.
